The Art of This Long Marriage

The Art of This Long Marriage

This series of humorous vignettes was made within the constraints of the first year of the pandemic. I pretended I was in the filmmaking equivalent of "Chopped." What story could I tell with old videos and photos on my shelf and supplement it with visual ingredients around my house? The result is this film about my marriage to my husband Alan.

Alan and I have been together since high school. Now we’re seasoned empty nesters. The house is too quiet. So I dig up old messes, find insight in new ones, and with Alan, explore the art and humor that keeps our 40 year relationship healthy.

My hope is the film will make you smile and explore your own creative spirit.
